Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in Phnom Penh yesterday and is expected to sign two agreements and nine memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with the Kingdom in support of trade, economy, investment and technical cooperation initiatives between the two countries.

A joint press statement is expected to be held today at the Peace Palace to officially announce the signing of these deals. In addition, Bangladesh will be renaming one of its major roads in Dhaka after Cambodia’s late King

Norodom Sihanouk while a Phnom Penh road will now be renamed after Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a late president of Bangladesh.
