Dear Sir,

F or: Mark, Jean-Michael, David, Nathalie, Michel, Robert Dominic, Kellie, Tina and every body who suffered.

To: all the Cambodian people and the rest of the world.

We, foreigners, all come to Cambodia with different reasons, but in general there is nobody coming to Cambodia to destabalize your country.

We come either to help, to see, enjoy and try to understand Cambodia. A Cambodia that is rising out of a difficult past.

A past which is not understandable, not for us foreigners and I wonder if you the Cambodian people, do... But we all should look to our future and the future of our children.

People who have power, people who have money don't want to give this away.

This is not only here in Cambodia. But also in the rest of the world. A fact we have to deal with if we want to find a solution. But will it help any party involved to kidnap innocent people?

People who, to quote HRH King Norodom Sihanouk, are not involved in any political or military affairs. If it is to focus the world on the Khmer Rouge side of Cambodia please let them use the publicity to make the world clear what they see as the future of Cambodia.

Let us listen to their goals, solutions, wishes and demands. Let us please try to understand. But killing innocent people does not help and will not help anybody. If it is an act of criminality it would be a problem just the same as we have in my country, Holland or the USA, Russia and the rest of the world. But I believe in the good people and I hope the good people will not suffer from the bad.

Please Khmer Rouge show that you want to belong to the good people. Please, every armed person, with a gun or with power, stop hurting the innocent, let everybody enjoy the beauty of Cambodia, stop the fear and let the people smile again. Please help Cambodia.

I wrote this down at the exhibition "Cambodia, one country one people..." Why ??

Let us start to make a tomorrow don't let our children feel the sorrow Cambodia is divided for too long and this makes nobody strong the world is unfair histories we can not compare so please let peace begin only them the future can win ... When... ??...

- Edwin, just a traveler who tries to understand and wishes to see all of Cambodia.
