An arrest was made on Tuesday in the case of a prize rooster who was busted out of jail and sold off for a pretty penny in Kandal province’s Lvea Em district.

Police say they arrested the man who sold the confiscated fighting cock, which had been taken from the district headquarters to a businessman for $5,000.

However, sensing the breakout was an inside job, authorities warned local officers they would get the boot if they aided in the avian escape.
