Police have arrested one of two men suspected in the violent robbery on Monday of another man who was on his way home in Banteay Meanchey’s Poipet town.

In the course of the attempted robbery, one suspect stabbed the victim, police said, and his shouts brought neighbours to the scene.

The suspects panicked, the knife was ditched and they then tried to escape. The residents caught one thief, a 29-year-old, but the other eluded their clutches. DEUM AMPIL
