It takes a village to arrest a would-be motorbike thief, or at least that was the case in the capital’s Meanchey district yesterday. Police said locals spotted a man allegedly attempting to force the ignition of parked motorbike at around 2pm and leapt into action.

Villagers surrounded the man immediately and held him until authorities arrived. In the arrest, police confiscated a “T-key”, a tool designed to break a motorbike’s ignition. Police are currently interrogating the suspect to see if he worked alone. DEUM AMPIL
