Kevin Ponniah has worked at the Post's National News desk since March 2013 covering media, human rights, and other issues. Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, he has previously worked as a freelance journalist and prior to joining the Post was an intern with Agence France-Presse (AFP) in Jakarta. His work has been published at The Diplomat, ABC Radio Australia, Sydney Morning Herald, Huffington Post, Straits Times, Bangkok Post and others. He has a BA in politics and economics from the University of Melbourne and a postgraduate diploma in journalism from RMIT University. He previously lived in Cambodia in 2008.
