Scott Howes has worked for the Post’s Photography Department since March 2013 covering a large array of events and features. Previous to joining the Post Scott worked as a freelance photographer in photojournalism and advertising in Australia and Asia. Scott has produced a wide range of photographic work focusing on a variety of subjects from the labour force in Dhaka, Banglasdesh, to the social politics of backpacking in Australia.
Formally trained in photography at Queensland College of Art in Australia, Scott has exhibited his works throughout Australia and abroad, and was recently awarded first place in the Queensland Lord Mayors Photographic Awards. His work has appeared in The Guardian, The Diplomat, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, South China Morning Post, The Myanmar Times, Sydney Morning Herald, The Courier Mail, ABC News, amongst others.
