The International Finance Corporation (IFC) signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) to strengthen corporate governance among banking and financial institutions in Cambodia, it said in a joint press release yesterday.

The IFC will help NBC enhance its regulatory, supervisory and enforcement capabilities, it said. “Our cooperation with the National Bank of Cambodia will help improve transparency and risk management in the banking sector,” said Kyle Kelhofer, IFC country manager for Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.
