CHEM-DRY officials joined Cambodia Master Franchise owner Sokny Sao on Tuesday, May 8, in Phnom Penh, to officially introduce Chem-Dry, the world leader in carpet and upholstery cleaning and its many services, to an audience of local and national officials, dignitaries and business leaders.
The event was attended by special guests including US Ambassador William Heidt, Jotham Hatch, director of training, and Joe Manuszak, vice president of International Development from Chem-Dry International. Sao, who obtained the Master Franchise rights to establish Chem-Dry in Cambodia last year, was frustrated with dirty upholstery and couldn’t find appropriate solutions provided by existing cleaning companies in Cambodia. He was impressed with the cleaning quality and technology that he found at Chem-Dry, along with the variety of green-certified products. Sao is seeking to expand in Cambodia via the franchise network model, targeting owners who wish to support the commercial cleaning industry, such as movie multiplexes, commercial properties and residential markets.
Chem-Dry has been helping entrepreneurs in the United States and around the world achieve business ownership and success for more than 40 years,” Manuszak said. “We are very happy to join Sokny as he launches his career as a Master Franchise owner, and look forward to helping him expand throughout Cambodia, and we believe his growth will help Chem-Drycontinue expanding into additional markets throughout Southeast Asia.”
His Excellency US Ambassador William Heidt has commented that Chemdry has come to Cambodia at the right time while Cambodia has been growing particularly in property development. In Phnom Penh there is more about 20,000 condo units and in Sihaknouk Ville not less than 20 condos are being built. These are all the potential clients for Chem-Dry Cambodia. Photos by Hong Menea
