Prince Bank Plc received Cambodia’s Best Employer Brand Award last month in the Thai capital Bangkok to join the Global Best Employer Brand Award 2020 won in Mumbai, India last year.

Prince Bank began the haul of prizes last year in Singapore with its first award as one of Asia’s Top 100 Best Employer Brands.

These prestigious awards were presented by the Employer Branding Institute, World HRD Congress and Stars of the Industry Group respectively.

“These awards are a reflection of Prince Bank’s practices having been effective in attracting, developing and retaining talent. With human capital development crucial to our company’s success, we have been working tirelessly to build a solid foundation of talent management, employee engagement and career development as part of a larger company-wide strategy to drive growth and performance,” Prince Bank CEO Honn Sorachna said.

In less than two years, since transforming from a microfinance institution into a commercial bank, Prince Bank has been focusing on its ‘Employer of Choice’ initiative.

“We want to create a work environment with established procedures, a streamlined staff engagement process, personnel training and development opportunities, an accountability and values-based culture, while encouraging open and honest communication within the bank,” Sorachna said.

Prince Bank nearly doubled the number of its employees to more than 1,000 staff within two years.
