Booster campaign continues indefinitely

The provincial administration of Preah Sihanouk will continue their Covid-19 vaccination campaign to give third doses or booster shots to residents, garment workers and employees aged 18 years and older who have yet to receive one.

Preah Sihanouk provincial governor Kuoch Chamroeun issued a notice on December 31 saying that the vaccination campaign for booster shots in Sihanoukville in Prey Nob and Kampong Seila districts was scheduled to end by December 30, 2021.

The notice added that the provincial administration noticed that some people had not yet been vaccinated, so the administration decided to continue the campaign.

“The provincial administration will continue the vaccination campaign for third doses or booster shots for residents, garment workers and employees aged 18 and over in Sihanoukville in Prey Nob and Kampong Seila districts from December 31, 2021 until further notice,” Chamroeun said.

He added that booster shots were to be given at least four months after receiving the second dose.
