The Ministry of Health on May 2 reported another 730 Covid-19 cases, all but two of which were linked to the February 20 community outbreak.

The two imported cases are passengers from abroad.

Of the 728 cluster cases, Phnom Penh recorded the majority at 454, followed by Preah Sihanouk at 124; Kandal at 107; Kampong Thom at 14; Takeo at 11; Prey Veng at six; Tbong Khmum at five; Kampong Cham at four; Siem Reap at two; and one each in Stung Treng Pursat and Kampot.

The ministry also reported six new deaths -- five in Phnom Penh and one in Preah Sihanouk province -- and 48 recoveries linked to the February 20 outbreak.

As of May 2, Cambodia had recorded a total of 14,520 Covid-19 cases, with 9,040 receiving ongoing treatment and 103 fatalities.
