The Phnom Penh Municipal Court on Saturday interrogated four suspects who were caught in a drug crackdown at a KTV last week.
They were identified as Hem Borith, 33 – also known as “Lion” and a news anchor for CNT and TV9 – In Sokorn, 51, Mao Sina, 38, and In Samphos, 33.
In Song, deputy director of the Ministry of Interior’s anti-drug department, said: “After the prosecutor finishes with the interrogation, [the suspects] will remain in detention.”
Police launched crackdowns on drugs in three different locations across the capital last week, including the KTV "Rock Entertainment Centre".
More than 1kg of illegal drugs, including methamphetamines, Ice and MDMA, as well as one handgun were discovered and seized during the operation, he added.
