Prime Minister Hun Sen will lead a Cambodian delegation to the G20 Summit and APEC Leaders’ Informal Dialogue from November 15-18, according to a press statement from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Accompanying him will be Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Commerce Pan Sorasak, and Minister of Post and Telecommunications Chea Vandeth.

The G20 Summit will be held on November 15-16 in Bali, Indonesia, followed by the APEC Leaders’ Informal Dialogue on November 18.

At the G20 summit, held under the theme “Recover Together, Recover Stronger”, Hun Sen will accentuate the importance of multilateralism and collaboration to a sustainable post-pandemic recovery.

He will also meet with President of France Emmanuel Macron and is expected to hold bilateral meetings with the heads of other delegations.

“Cambodia’s participation in the Summit this year is indicative of ASEAN’s pivotal role in the regional architecture and the current ASEAN chair’s commitment to synergising and synchronising ASEAN’s key priorities with those of other regional and international forums towards peace and sustainable development,” said the statement.

At the informal dialogue, Hun Sen will attend the “APEC Leaders’ Informal Dialogue with Guests” during which he will address the opening session, focusing on sustainable growth.

In other sessions, he will deliver his remarks on “Promoting Sustainable Trade and Investment between APEC and its Trading Partners”.

“His participation will contribute to enriching the discourse on sustainable growth and expanding cooperation between APEC and its external partners in line with APEC 2022’s theme of Open. Connect. Balance,” the ministry said.
