Kampong Cham provincial governor Un Chanda has decided to temporarily lock down four villages in three districts after some Covid-19 cases were detected there.

According to four separate announcements released on April 23, the villages include Thmey Khar in Kang Meas district's Roka Koy commune; Komphlak and Trea villages in Srey Santhor district's Baray and Svay Por communes respectively; and Sambor village in Batheay district’s Sambor commune.

The provincial administration said three new cases were detected in the villages -- one in Kamphlak and two in Trea.

The lockdown is effective immediately until further notice.

As of April 22, Kampong Cham had recorded 35 cases, with 11 undergoing treatment and zero death.
