Ly Thuch, Senior Minister and First Vice-President of the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA), requested that the United Kingdom continue to support Cambodia in the mine action field until the Kingdom meets its goal of a mine-free nation by 2025.

In response, the UK said that it would consider increasing support for Cambodia in the mine action field and investigate how to do so further.

At the meeting with Amanda Milling, UK Minister for Asia and the Middle East, Ly Thuch highlighted the two nations' partnership and cooperation in the mine action field in Cambodia, saying that this was a positive meeting on mine cooperation between Cambodia and the UK.

Amanda Milling commended Cambodia for its demining work, saying that it was necessary to help the Cambodian people reduce mine-related risks and develop the country.
