SINGAPORE (AP) - South Korean and German companies have won a 74 million Singapore
dollar (U.S. $45.96 million) contract to supply 42 cranes to handle containers, the
Port of Singapore Authority said May 17.
Korean Heavy Industries and Construction Co. Ltd. will deliver 34 cranes costing
60 million Singapore dollars (U.S. $37.5 million) between 1994 and 1995, the authority
said in a statement.
Germany's Bell GMBH will supply eight cranes worth 14 million Singapore dollars (U.S.
$ 8.46 million) by March 1994, it added.
