In the past 18 months, more than 250,000 Cambodian migrant workers have returned from Thailand, with nearly 20,000 of them coronavirus positive, according to the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) Cambodia.

In a report released on October 22, IOM Cambodia said that from March 2020 to September of this year, 18,983 of the 252,956 returning workers tested positive.

In September alone, 10,805 workers returned, with 3.831 carrying the coronavirus.

In the first nine months of this year, a total of 18,461 returning workers tested positive.
