Authorities in Tbong Khmum province's Ponhea Kraek district on October 6 decided to close Anlong Chrey resort after vendors and visitors who flocked there during the Pchum Ben public holiday failed to properly implement Covid-19 preventive measures.

According to the district hall's notice approved by provincial governor Cheam Chansophorn, the suspension is valid only for one day, October 7, which marks the end of the public holiday.

The water area resort is located in Anglong Chrey village of Kork commune.

The district hall said the suspension came after authorities noted that large crowds of visitors and food vendors there ignored health measures including the three dos and three don’ts.
