Neighbor wars about over-grown hedges or similarly suburban concerns are commonplace the world over, as a recent case in Oddar Meanchey province’s Anlong Veng district proves.

A 51-year-old farmer there was arrested on Saturday for pulling up no fewer than 147 banana trees, which belonged to another farmer nearby.

Police have yet to unearth the motivation for the alleged crime.
