A wine tasting went badly awry in Pailin province on Friday after some verbal sparring over a glass of white veered into full-blown violence.
The 38-year old victim had been arguing with the accused at a wine shop, before heading home for a meal with his family.
Perhaps fuelled by a case of sour grapes, his 33-year-old drinking companion snuck up behind him and bashed him on the head with a stick before fleeing.
Police arrested the accused, while the victim was sent to hospital.
