Phnom Penh Post - Desperate gambling den duo run out of luck
One Phnom Penh man landed himself in a jail cell on Tuesday after an unsuccessful dalliance with Lady Luck. After losing big in a gambling den, he and a friend resorted to desperate measures to rustle up more cash: borrowing and then pawning a moto.
This proved a stopgap solution when the moto’s owner got wind of their scheme and reported them to the police. In a final twist of misfortune, his co-conspirator managed to evade capture, whereas he got cuffed.
