Felon fiancé won’t be freed for love nor money

A 23-year-old groom-to-be was arrested for burglary in Phnom Penh’s Por Sen Chey district yesterday.

Following his arrest at the scene, his fiancée arrived at the police station where he was held and burst into tears, claiming her suitor was struggling to afford his upcoming wedding and bridal dowry.

This failed to melt police hearts, however, and the suspect may soon find himself with a ball and chain of the metallic kind.
