Five men with sticks who villagers described as “bald”, beat up a 46-year-old security guard at a special economic zone in Svay Rieng on Saturday.

According to locals, the assailants called the man over pretending to be motodops before attacking him.

The victim was beat into unconsciousness and sustained severe injuries.

The five men took his walkie-talkie before escaping, according to eyewitnesses. Police are still searching for the perpetrators.
