Love was in the air on Monday night. And bullets, those also were in the air. The unfortunate situation came as one man tried to woo another’s wife in the capital’s Daun Penh district.

Police said the man initiating the incident had used “inappropriate words” to the woman, which led to a heated exchange.

The woo-er eventually decided to settle the score by drawing a pistol, not realising the woo-ee’s husband was also armed. In the ensuing gunplay, both gents went down with bullet wounds in the right hand and left leg, respectively.

Somehow, unsurprisingly, neither man has been arrested.
