A Kandal resident was briefly separated from his moto on June 29, after falling victim to an opportunistic – if somewhat scatterbrained – thief.

The victim had left his moto near a market while he went inside for some lunch, but when he returned, his moto was nowhere to be seen, and so he filed a complaint with police.

On Sunday, the victim spotted a conspicuously familiar moto parked by a pagoda, and so asked around about the owner’s identity before alerting the cops, who arrested the post-prandial moto-misappropriator.
