It’s a bird! It’s a plane! On Wednesday it turned out to be a speedy police officer who managed to pull one of two bag snatchers off his motorbike in the capital’s Chamkarmon district.

Authorities say the thieves nabbed the purse of a woman crossing the road before she shouted for help. Miraculously, a constable was patrolling nearby and chased the pair.

One villain was apprehended, but, unfortunately, the other made a clean getaway.
