With the rapid evolution of the global economy in the digital era, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a critical foundation for managing business operations, particularly in international trade.
With the growing demand for AI-related knowledge, the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and the Business Development Center (BDC), in collaboration with the Skills Development Fund (SDF) and Codingate Technology Co., Ltd., organised the “Skills in Using AI for Market Strategy Development and Digital Content Creation” training session for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on March 27, with support from Khmer Enterprises.
This training was offered to approximately entrepreneurs and SME owners The session received additional support from Wing (Cambodia) Bank, Cambodia Post Bank, J Trust Royal Bank and the SME Bank of Cambodia.
Pheap Sophorn, from the Ministry of Economy and Finance’s BDC, noted that thanks to rapid transformation of the global economy towards the adoption of new technologies, AI plays an essential role in transforming the economy, commerce and improving business management efficiency.
“AI has become a tool in transforming the economy and commerce and boosting business efficiency. It is vital for members of the CCC and all SMEs in Cambodia to maintain competitiveness and meet the market demands both regionally and globally,” he said.
Sok Sopheakmonkol, CEO of Codingate Technology Co., Ltd., led the training session.
He emphasised that AI technology is becoming increasingly important in all business activities, from market strategy development to digital content creation, customer targeting and the use of automation tools to enhance efficiency in daily business operations.
He explained that through the training, business owners gained practical knowledge in utilising AI systems for business effectiveness, as well as learning effective digital market strategies to attract and retain customers.
Chin Ken, president of the Digital Technology Association of Cambodia (DTAC), told The Post that the context of Industry 4.0, especially with the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic, has accelerated the adoption of technology in all business operations, particularly in international trade. Today’s business environment requires flexibility, adaptability and speed, all of which rely on technology.
“Technology has become an essential element in making business operations easier and reducing the need for face-to-face meetings,” he said.
“AI technology is increasingly contributing to international business operations, and in Cambodia, the use of technology in business has also been growing,” he added.
He pointed out that as technology is used in more and more business operations, it will also help Cambodia attract more investors and promote the Kingdom’s products in international markets.
