CP Cambodia Co, Ltd has offered strong support and encouragement for the Kingdom’s athletes, while providing high-quality, safe food products, as a major sponsor of the 32nd SEA Games and 12th ASEAN Para Games.
Having sponsored the Cambodia 2023 SEA Games and now doing so at the ASEAN Para Games, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the cooperation was signed at the National Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh on May 31, 2023.
The ceremony was presided over by HE Vath Chamroeun, secretary-general of the Cambodia SEA Games Organising Committee (CAMSOC), and Wittaya Kreangkriwit, President of CP Cambodia.
Chamroeun, also secretary-general of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC), said the Kingdom hosting the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games were occasions of huge historic importance for the Kingdom.
“Every athlete competed really well at the 2023 SEA Games as Cambodia won 81 gold medals among a best ever haul of 284, and we are hopeful of extending that success at the 12th ASEAN Para Games.
“Their contributions have been invaluable in the success of the 2023 Cambodia Games and in helping further Cambodia’s development.
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the delegates involved for their efforts, as well as to the private companies and institutions who have generously sponsored the 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games,” said Chamroeun.
Wittaya said the sponsorship of the regional sporting extravaganzas helped to spread understanding of the importance of high-quality, safe food products in benefiting health and wellbeing.
“We fully acknowledge the significance of adhering to nutritional principles when it comes to athletes and consumers in Cambodia.
“Quality food products play a crucial role in competition as well as in everyday life, so we therefore distributed high-quality, safe food products throughout the SEA Games.
“We also provide knowledge to help Cambodian consumers understand the importance of quality food for their health and wellbeing – and we are now doing so at the ASEAN Para Games,” he said.
Wittaya invited the people of Cambodia to unite in applauding all of the Kingdom’s athletes for having the heart to battle for the nation across numerous sports and to encourage them to perform at their best in competition.
“CP is delighted to extend our support to Cambodia’s athletes, who have made remarkable achievements in competition and are continuing to excel on the international stage.
“As well as the SEA Games athletes, CP has extended its support to the Para Games’ entrants, stressing that the two competitions – and their competitors – are equally important, and should be treated as such.
“Let us rally behind the members of the Cambodian national team and cheer them on to victory by sending messages of support on social media during every competition, and encourage them to give their all for the Kingdom and its people,” Wittaya said.
