Cambodia’s Hanuman Beverages Co Ltd – the maker of Hanuman Premium Lager – on Thursday held a partnership signing ceremony with business partners and gave them a tour of the state-of-the-art brewery near Phnom Penh.

The ceremony, which served as a business-to-business networking event, was held at the new Hanuman Beverages facility, which is located along National Road 4 at Trapeang Veng village, in Chok Chheu Neang commune in Kandal province’s Ang Snoul district.

Hanuman Beverages CEO Chas Geschke said: “After more than two years of construction, we have gone through a number of challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic that has affected the pace of our construction.

“However, the company strives to find solutions to push each step forward. We have finally achieved the company’s initial goal. We are very proud of the success of our first product, Hanuman Premium Lager, which has recently been distributed to the market.

“This is just the beginning. We will have more products in the near future to meet the needs of customers who are always looking forward to new, unique and real quality products.”

Hanuman Beverages chairwoman Khieu Sarsileap said: “Our first product has received overwhelming support and appreciation from Cambodians and international guests for its premium taste, good quality and attractive packaging, and this is the first major fruitful achievement for the company.

“The company has a long-term vision. We will provide a good working environment for employees and stability in product quality, as well as support good strategies to sustain business expansion, especially in further promoting Cambodia’s quality brand to the world.”

After the signing ceremony, guests were ushered on a guided factory tour where they were shown the production line and modern brewing process, the selection of finest ingredients, the packaging of the finished product and the quality testing before the product is shipped to market.

Hanuman Beverages – established by Cambodians with an investment of $160 million – is equipped with the latest technology from Europe and boasts production capacity of up to 30 million cases per year in accordance with world-class standards.

With a plant equipped with an efficient water recycling system that reclaims and reuses 90 per cent of all processed water, the long-term goal of Hanuman Beverages achieving carbon-neutrality has already begun!

The company has also generated job opportunities for 1,600 Cambodians – demonstrating a strong commitment to contributing to the Kingdom’s economic development in line with the government’s aspirations to bolster the domestic manufacturing sector.
