Sathapana Bank and Siem Reap Tourism Club (STC) on April 4 signed a partnership agreement to provide digital payment solutions for merchants and operators in the tourism industry in Siem Reap.
"We are thrilled to partner with Sathapana Bank to introduce digital payment solutions to our members.
"This partnership will help STC build a strong coalition of local merchants and support sustainable and smart tourism in Siem Reap," said Philip Set Kao, President of STC.
Under the partnership, Sathapana Bank will provide digital payment solutions to enable STC members to manage, control and take care of all their payments needs conveniently and effectively.
"We are honoured to be chosen as the exclusive digital payment solutions provider for STC. None of this would have been possible without the support of STC, which has the interests of its members firmly at heart.
"This partnership will allow us to provide our services to STC members to access digital payment technologies to provide convenience and comprehensive solutions.
"And this in turn can improve the livelihoods of Cambodian people in Siem Reap, as well as support the tourism sector,” said Jean Pierre Gagnon, Deputy CEO of Sathapana Bank.
With digital payment solutions such as the Sathapana Tutort mobile app, merchants are able to accept cashless payments via KHQR, Visa, Mastercard, Union Pay International, WeChat and Alipay from both foreign and local customers visiting Siem Reap.
In addition, STC members can also benefit from the Sathapana Rewards and Loyalty Program to build a strong coalition among the merchants and offer their customers more engagement and greater value.
The partnership is a significant step forward for the tourism industry in Cambodia, one expected to have a positive impact on the economy and the local community.
