The SDG Excellence Awards for People, Planet and Prosperity, hosted by IMU University on December 20, saw the Kingdom’s top changemakers, visionaries, and innovators recognised for their work.
The inspirational winners were each celebrated for driving sustainable development and creating meaningful impact within their communities and industries.
IMU University was deeply honoured to be a part of a fantastic evening.
The university is a proud advocate for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), and never ceases to champion the SDGs as a framework for shaping a sustainable future.
The SDG awards are more than a celebration of excellence; they are a platform to inspire action and collaboration toward a better world.
They serve two crucial functions.
They raise public awareness of the SDGs, by highlighting the importance of sustainable practices for long-term success across sectors.
They also showcase excellence, by honouring leaders and entrepreneurs who set benchmarks for best practices in sustainability and prosperity.
Three categories of ‘excellence’ awards were presented, each with three outstanding recipients.
First up were the SDG Excellence People Awards.
Mr. Dave Leduc was honoured for “bridging community and culture through martial arts”, while Mr. MJ Cheng of Old House was awarded for “connecting community and culture through culinary excellence”.
