Prime Minister Hun Sen on Monday said in a statement that he had directed Minister of Health Mam Bunheng and Minister of Economy and Finance Aun Pornmoniroth to arrange the purchase of one million doses of vaccines for Cambodians identified as having a high risk of contracting Covid-19.
In unanimous support of the government’s dedicated efforts in fighting the war against the Covid-19 pandemic and fulfilling its corporate social responsibility to the people of Cambodia, the Prince Holdings Group responded immediately.
Prince Holdings Group chairman Neak Okhna Chen Zhi donated $3 million to the Prime Minister in aid for the purchase of one million doses of Covid-19 vaccines on the same day of the announcement. In an expression of gratitude on behalf of the government and nation, Prime Minister Hun Sen sent a letter of appreciation to Neak Okna Chen Zhi to acknowledge this philanthropic contribution.
