The collaboration focuses on promoting access to education and professional development, as well as 'Chief Easy,' a leading digital micro-lending platform aimed at and enhancing financial accessibility in Cambodia.
Chief Easy leverages the growing trend of digital banking in Cambodia. The platform allows users to conveniently apply for loans of up to $5,000 with repayment terms extending up to three years from any location, anytime, and guarantees a response within 24 hours on working days.
Chief Easy exemplifies Chief Bank’s commitment to providing accessible financial services, particularly to the unbanked and underbanked populations in Cambodia. Their collaboration with the American University of Phnom Penh allows them to reach a broader audience and support students and their families in overcoming financial challenges.
American University of Phnom Penh will support the promotion and adoption of Chief Easy among its student body and their families. Special provisions within the partnership enable students, parents, and guardians to access digital micro-loans of up to $5,000, specifically tailored to assist with educational expenses and other financial needs.
