On Sunday, July 7, Legend Cinema celebrated its 13th anniversary at Legend Olympia Branch – its flagship cinema – equipped with modern amenities, ample space and high standards.

The rapid growth and expansion from one to 12 locations over the past 13 years is a testament to their strong progress and significant impact on the local film industry. This year, for their 13th celebration, they reflected on the golden age of cinema and its future, under the slogan "Evolution of Cinema".

Approximately 300 guests attended the event, including notable figures such as Prince Narithipong Norodom, Princess Ermine Norodom, Sin Chansaya, advisor to the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, Pok Borak, Director of Cinema and Cultural Diffusion, director Pan Phuong Bopha and artist Dy Saveth. They were also joined by various partners, distributors, key opinion leaders (KOLs) and fans.

Founder Te Song delivered a video message reflecting on the establishment of Legend Cinema to provide modern cinema experiences. He summarised, “The birth of Legend Cinema came about due to a lack of modern cinemas with international standards and proper equipment to screen Hollywood films. Seeing this gap in our industry, in 2011, we set forth to create the first-ever international standard cinema in Cambodia, committed to providing excellent service and experience to every moviegoer.”

The event kicked off with Legend Cinema’s original documentary production, highlighting the development of the cinema. Notably, performances by incredible artists, theatrical presentations and demonstrations of filming techniques by The Acting Art Academy and Roof Dance Group were truly captivating and extremely entertaining.

There was also a grand lucky draw featuring prizes such as an iPhone 15 Pro Max from Smart Axiata, an air purifier (LG PuriCare Aero Furniture) from Ggear Group, bags from Michael Kors, jewelry from Pandora, Kieslect and KOSPET watches from Tech-Zone and the exclusive Diamond Member card, part of Legend Cinema’s new membership programme.

On the same auspicious evening, Legend officially launched its new membership tier, the Diamond Member Card. This latest loyalty programme offers more benefits and, most importantly, a premium and luxurious experience and lifestyle. 

For an initial purchase of $100, customers can enjoy all kinds of movies in any format at any of their 12 locations, anytime. Diamond members receive a 5% bonus every time they top up, plus a 10% daily discount on movie tickets, food and drinks. They also receive gifts on their birthdays. 

Best of all, the Diamond and Gold Class lounges are at their disposal, where they can visit and lounge anytime, enjoying a complimentary, super refreshing welcome drink. Exclusive screenings and events will also be organised solely for Diamond members.

The winner of Legend’s 13th Anniversary Popcorn Box design contest, Ny Razel, received a prize worth a total of $1,200, and his design has been printed on popcorn boxes at all branches.
