The highly anticipated Higher Education Fair is set to take place from September 7-8, at Connexion on Diamond Island. Now in its fourth year, this dynamic event promises to open doors to a world of academic opportunities for students, featuring a diverse range of educators ready to guide attendees on their career pathways.
With a focus on empowering students to "Chase Your Dream", the fair aims to inspire confidence and ambition among high school graduates and students from grades 9 to 12.
This year's theme revolves around Industry 4.0, addressing critical topics such as youth mental health, entrepreneurial mindsets and the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on future careers.
With an expected attendance of over 5,000 participants, the fair is poised to play a crucial role in encouraging young individuals to explore higher education options, gain self-awareness and shape their personal and professional goals.
The fair is designed not only to inform but also to entertain, creating an engaging atmosphere where prospective students can broaden their horizons. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with leading educators and industry experts, participate in insightful discussions and discover various academic programmes that align with their aspirations.
A highlight of the event will be a series of panel discussions featuring prominent speakers who are leaders in their respective fields.
The first, titled "Industry 4.0 and the Future of Work: Skills and Opportunities for Young Professionals", will take place on September 7 from 10am to 10:45am. Panelists included Yim Samnang, founder of Klture.media and CEO of Overtime.network.
A seasoned marketer turned content creator and entrepreneur, Yim brings over a decade of experience in marketing. He is passionate about helping businesses grow through training and consulting services.
Sivhuang Lay, managing director of Dichi Academy, has extensive experience in tech industries across Asia and Europe and is an innovator in digital transformation. As managing director, she leads initiatives that connect Cambodia with Silicon Valley’s technology training programmes.
Horm Hy, co-founder and CEO of Future.Bit Academy, is a User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI) designer with a strong background in digital design. He has significantly influenced the country’s UX/UI landscape through his work in education and design.
Additionally, the fair will feature another important discussion on “Youth Mental Health: Strategies for Wellbeing and Excelling”, led by Joey Ra, founder and head of faculty at Cambodia Coach Institute.
Recognised as one of Cambodia's leading coaches, Ra has trained over 300 leaders as certified professionals. His expertise spans various sectors, having worked with organisations like Google and the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA).
