H&M last Friday at 9am opened its first store in Cambodia to an excited crowd – some of whom had been waiting patiently in line for some time to become the first ever customers and receive cash vouchers.
With a traditional dance performance to celebrate the exciting occasion, H&M Cambodia and Thailand CEO and country manager Philippe Lassaux cut the ribbon to officially open the store.
On the first day of opening, Cambodian fashionistas enjoyed shopping from the latest H&M Spring/Summer 2022 collection, which uses vivid colours, fun styles and sustainable materials.
“It was very exciting to see that people were waiting for the opening of the first H&M store in Phnom Penh. We are eager to bring fashion and quality at the best price and in a sustainable way to a new city.
"We truly appreciate the excellent welcome we have had in Phnom Penh. We look forward to delivering H&M fashion collections and exhilarating our customers as they create their personal style and favourite looks,” said Lassaux.
To celebrate the launch, H&M is offering 25 per cent discounts on all regular price items from March 18-20.
Singers, actors, actress and influencers such as Chea Sreynea, Hong Sreypich, Dara Moniroth, Pen Chomrong, Vann Maozolinda, Vy Dyneth, Kim Meysieng, Teng Hortnaron, In Senghour and Yim Nara were present at the opening.
The new H&M store in the capital is located on the ground and first floors in the Sweet Zone at AEON Mall Phnom Penh on Sothearos Boulevard. Opening hours are 9am-10pm every day.
