The Lumiere Hotel will soon light up Phnom Penh’s Skyline when it opens its doors on March 9, ready to welcome business and leisure travellers to its 88 rooms. The hotel, located on Street 228, also has event spaces for rent, a skybar with a panoramic view, and Phnom Penh’s very first rooftop jacuzzi. Before the official opening of Lumiere Hotel, local media were invited to see the hotel firsthand. The hotel is called Lumiere, which means “light” in French, due to the amber lights that come on after sunset. Lumiere will offer two dining and lounge options: the Bean Scene Café, which will serve freshly brewed coffee, as well as pastries and desserts; and Illuma Tapas & Lounge on the rooftop, which will serve tapas and cocktails, with both indoor and al fresco seating overlooking the city. The restaurant and cafe will be operated by award-winning restaurateur, David Chiv of Digby’s Bar & Grill. For its grand opening, Lumiere Hotel wiill offer special room rates starting from $75.
