MILO – the nutritious chocolate malt beverage – is officially sponsoring the Cambodia 2023 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games as Kingdom hosts the region's most spectacular sporting event for first time in its history from May 5-17.
The sponsorship includes financial support as well as the provision of some 20,000 MILO drinks for the more than 5,000 athletes competing, with the thousands of spectators watching on at the three main stadiums in Phnom Penh also enjoying the tasty drink.
"MILO has always believed in learning through sports, and this historic SEA Games is the ideal occasion for demonstrating the values each athlete learns from sports.
"These include perseverance, tenacity, determination, leadership and teamwork while competing at the highest levels, and are a great example for all children in the country.
"The values students learn from sports will allow them to face future challenges and achieve success in their lives," said Stephen Knight, Country Manager, Representative Office of Nestle (Thai) Ltd.
MILO also organised the “MILO School Roadshow” nationwide campaign, visiting schools across the country in MILO vans to bring the drink – which is packed with nutrition goodness with the delicious chocolate malt taste everyone loves – to thousands of students.
The roadshow, which began earlier in the year, has so far given out around 90,000 delicious MILO drinks to Cambodian students.
Milo plans to continue offering free MILO to schools across the country until the end of 2023, with a goal of distributing more than 250,000 drinks to youngsters across the Kingdom.
“We are honoured to be a part of this historic SEA Games, and we are even more proud to be a part of an ongoing effort to provide good nutrition to Cambodia's future generations," said Stephen Knight.
