Phnom Penh Post - Nippon Koei joins STC to push smart city agenda

Nippon Koei Co Ltd on Thursday inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Siem Reap Tourism Club (STC) to promote sustainable and smart tourism using ICT solutions. As well as strengthening public-private partnerships to transform Siem Reap into a smart city, the MoU will give priority to digitisation to promote tourism activities. Based on the MoU, the club will be involved in spearheading smart tourism, while Nippon Koei will support the activities using advanced technology and know-how in the field of business management. Both parties plan to create a new smart tourism business ecosystem in Siem Reap through digitisation to engage surrounding communities left out of the traditional tourism ecosystem, thereby achieving sustainable growth in the region.
