NongHyup Finance (Cambodia) Plc – a subsidiary of the South Korea-based NongHyup Bank – on Thursday contributed medical supplies and essentials to the Ministry of Health to help combat Covid-19 in the Kingdom.
The microfinance institution (MFI) donated 1,200 Covid-19 rapid test kits, 10,000 face masks, 900 litres of alcohol and 250 bottles of antiseptic gel, along with 2,000 tubes of toothpaste, 1,000 toothbrushes, 1,800 bars of soap and 2,000 packages of instant noodles.
Ministry of Health secretary of state Lok Chumteav Dr Youk Sambath received the contributions from the MFI.
Providing financial services to Cambodians, NongHyup Finance operates in Phnom Penh as well as Kandal, Takeo, Kampong Speu, Kampot, Kep, Preah Sihanouk, Kampong Thom, Siem Reap, Prey Veng, Svay Rieng and Kampong Cham provinces.
NongHyup Finance actively participates in various social assistance programmes, such as providing training in the agricultural sector, family financial management and food packaging.
