The Phnom Penh Choral Ensemble (PPCE) were in full voice on the evening of June 19 as they held the "PPCE Sings Love" fundraising concert in aid of children's support NGOs Friends International, Sok Sabay and Sunrise Cambodia at Raffles Hotel Le Royal.
PPCE had the audience – which included Philippine Ambassador to Cambodia Amelita Aquino and CEO of The Phnom Penh Post Ly Tayseng among the distinguished guests – in raptures with a mix of love songs, pop classics and modern hits.
Union Gakki, BIC Bank, Grant Thornton, Hainam, CIA First and The Phnom Penh Post sponsored the gala event.
"To Sok Sabay, Sunrise and Mith Samlanh, Friends international, we honour you all for taking up the hard but noble and fulfilling work of helping our Cambodian brothers and sisters. Thank you for this great privilege of being a part of your work.
"We hope this concert has given us all an even deeper desire to help others, especially those in need. PPCE believes we rise by helping others," PPCE conductor Hannah Lynn Bandalan told the audience.
