Prince Times Square, the open-concept-inspired street mall in the southern section of Norodom Boulevard, opened to fanfare on June 7.
The grand opening was presided over by Phnom Penh municipal governor Khuong Sreng alongside Prince Real Estate (PRE) chief executive officer (CEO) Edward Lee, with a traditional blessing dance, ceremonial ribbon cutting and speeches.
Governor Sreng congratulated PRE on the success of its many large-scale projects throughout Phnom Penh, and said the private sector had proven itself to be a driving force behind Cambodia’s economic growth.
PRE's Edward praised the leadership of the Cambodian government and Phnom Penh municipal authorities for steering the economy through the Covid crisis.
“The reopening of malls and public spaces would not have been possible without the relentless commitment from governor Khuong Sreng and his office for effectively navigating the Covid-19 storm, with Phnom Penh achieving the highest vaccination rate across the country, getting economies and livelihoods quickly back on their feet,” Edward said.
With 34 double-storey shop units, a total area of 6,487sqm and a 100 per cent occupancy rate, Prince Times Square features stunning glass exteriors that promote natural lighting and seek to minimise electricity consumption.
Prince Times Square is PRE's first street mall in the capital.
With exciting developments this year, PRE is also making a foray into the mid-upper scale market with Prince One Tropica, the group’s first villa project, located 10km from Phnom Penh city centre in Sen Sok district.
