On Friday, the British Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia together with Himawari Hotel Apartments, St John Phnom Penh and the British Embassy Phnom Penh held a solemn and meaningful Remembrance Day ceremony. The memorial service was to honour members of the British Armed Forces and Commonwealth Armed Forces who have died in the line of duty, and to mark the end to hostilities of World War I. This is a memorial day observed annually in the UK and Commonwealth Nations. During the Remembrance Day ceremony, Himawari Hotel Apartments sold poppy appeals to raise funds for both the British Royal Legion and St John Phnom Penh’s first-aid programs in Cambodia.
