Shinhan Bank Cambodia on October 17 opened a new branch in Siem Reap as it expands its financial services to provincial areas of the Kingdom.
Distinguished guests including National Bank of Cambodia director Dr Lay Sam Ean and South Korean Consul General Mr Park Do Kwon attended the grand opening ceremony to celebrate the special occasion.
“We are very pleased to be providing convenient financial services to customers living in Siem Reap with the opening of the Siem Reap branch.
“We will do our best for the development of the local community,” a Shinhan Bank Cambodia official said.
Celebrating the opening with a spirit of social contribution, Shinhan Bank donated and shared food with the Angkor Hospital for Children, a leading non-profit paediatric health organisation in Siem Reap.
Shinhan Bank Cambodia – a subsidiary of Shinhan Bank, the largest bank in South Korea – was established in Phnom Penh in 2007.
The opening in Siem Reap takes the number of Shinhan Bank branches in Cambodia to 14, with it joining the 12 in Phnom Penh and one in Takhmao town.
Shinhan Bank Cambodia provides a variety of financial products and services, such as competitive-interest loans, high interest rates of up to 8.8 per cent per annum on deposits, a convenient mobile banking app, Bakong transfers, KHQR, overseas remittance and Visa cards.
It also provides the “Zero Fee Policy” on banking and ATM transactions.
Shinhan Bank Cambodia expects digitalisation to greatly increase the financial convenience of its customers in Siem Reap.
In addition to the Siem Reap branch, Shinhan Bank plans to open additional provincial branches in major regions of the Kingdom to provide high-quality financial services to Cambodian people as well as enhance customer satisfaction.
The Siem Reap branch is located near the corner of the intersection of National Road 6 and Sivutha Boulevard.
