Cambodia is poised for economic growth in 2024, buoyed by a resurgence in tourism and government initiatives seen to boost the property sector, according to Property Report by PropertyGuru, the official magazine of the Awards.
Jules Kay, general manager of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events, hailed the Kingdom as an economic "beacon of growth".
"We welcome projects and developers to the latest edition of the Cambodia Property Awards as the Kingdom emerges as a beacon of growth amid global economic challenges.
"Despite external market shifts and evolving local dynamics, the Cambodian real estate industry has shown impressive resilience, supported by foreign investments and a strategic shift towards affordability.
"The Cambodia Property Awards will once again showcase the positives that make the country a vibrant market that embraces innovation,” he said.
In light of these opportunities, the PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards will not only recognise the achievements of developers in Phnom Penh, but also those in the country’s world-famous tourist destinations and investment hubs such as Siem Reap and Sihanoukville.
The awards this year will closely follow the progression of the property sector alongside categories that recognise developers across various specialisations.
The categories include the new ESG awards, recognising companies for achievements in sustainable design, sustainable construction, energy efficiency and social impact.
Furthermore, the categories will evaluate a wide array of developments, ranging from sales galleries to townships, across various aspects such as investment appeal and integration with natural surroundings.
