Last Saturday, some 22 architecture students from Cambodian universities attended the finale of “Housing– Designing Accessible Solutions for the New Phnom Penh” – a workshop and competition hosted by Urban Living Solutions, a community-focused, real estate and lifestyle development firm. During the five-week long program, held at Factory Phnom Penh, students enjoyed hands-on learning experience, including face-to-face lectures, field trips, practical exercises, and a competition themed “Accessible Housing in High-Density Areas”, applied to Phnom Penh.
The event, which started on September 9, concluded last Saturday with a competition featuring an open exhibition of the students’ final projects – all showcased at the AiR Gallery at Factory Phnom Penh until this coming Thursday. The first winner walked away with prize worth $2,000, second prize of $1,000 and the third winner was awarded $500. photo supplied
