The US-based A Khmer Buddhist Foundation has donated around $500,000 worth of medical equipment and funds to supply emergency relief to assist the Kingdom in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic. The donation was made with the assistance of Digital Divide Data, a local social impact organisation based in Cambodia. The foundation’s founder is former Cambodian refugee Lyna Lam. The philanthropist and Cambodia advocate currently resides in San Francisco. “We were saddened to hear about the devastating Covid situation in Cambodia. While we know firsthand that the people of Cambodia are resilient and have a history of recovering from any hardship stronger than before, we also know that additional supplies and resources can help accelerate their recovery and end this terrible pandemic,” said Lyna, who is also a Khmer Buddhist Foundation’s executive director.
