Woori Bank (Cambodia) Plc. proudly hosted its highly anticipated 2025 Business Strategy Conference at the prestigious Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel & Residence. The event was a resounding success, celebrating another year of remarkable growth and achievements while unveiling strategic plans for the upcoming year.

The conference brought together esteemed management and staff from the Head Office, field organisation and branch managers nationwide. The main purpose of the conference was to reflect on the past year's accomplishments and set the stage for future endeavours. The atmosphere was filled with moments of joy and success, highlighting Woori Bank Cambodia's commitment to excellence and innovation in the banking sector.

Mr. Cheol Su Sonh, CEO of Woori Bank (Cambodia) Plc., delivered an inspiring keynote address, emphasising the bank's dedication to providing exceptional financial services and fostering strong relationships with customers. 

“With intensifying competition, higher standards and regulations and an economic downturn, our business environment remains difficult. I am highly optimistic that through our firm will, dedication, efforts for innovation and disciplined step-by-step strategic moves, will move Woori Bank Cambodia one step closer to our goal of becoming one of the top 5 banks in Cambodia within 3 years,” said Mr. Sonh. 

The event also featured insightful presentations on the bank's strategic initiatives for 2025, focusing on enhancing customer experience, expanding digital banking services and promoting efficient financial practices. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in interactive sessions, sharing ideas and insights to drive the bank's vision forward.

As part of the celebration, Woori Bank Cambodia recognised outstanding employees and branch offices who have contributed significantly to the bank's success. The awards ceremony was a highlight of the evening, showcasing the talent and dedication within the organisation.

Woori Bank (Cambodia) Plc. has achieved many significant milestones in the 30 years it has operated in the Kingdom. Beginning with a funding program in 1990, it earned an official license to operate as a microfinance institution in 2004. The license was updated in 2011 to become a micro-deposit taking financial institution, which then merged with Woori Finance Cambodia Plc. in 2020 to broaden its network. 

Additionally, the National Bank of Cambodia approved a commercial bank license in November 2021. It was officially launched in January 2022, enabling Woori Bank (Cambodia) Plc. to provide the market with full-fledged commercial bank’s products and services.
