Woori Bank (Cambodia) celebrated the arrival of its Visa debit card with a launch ceremony at the leading financial institution's head office in Phnom Penh.

The event was presided over by Kim Hong Ju, CEO of Woori Bank Cambodia, and Ivana Tranchini, Country Manager of Visa Cambodia.

Three types of WOORI VISA CARD have been introduced – Visa Classic, Visa Platinum and Visa Gold – with an exciting offer available to card holders to celebrate the launch.

“This is another important stepping stone for Woori Bank Cambodia to achieve our business goals, as well as provide a greater variety of products and services to our customers.

“To celebrate this memorable moment, and to proudly announce our WOORI VISA CARD to the market, we are for three months from September to November 2023 offering our cardholders a special promotion of 10 per cent cashback," said Kim Hong Ju.

Tranchini said the launch of the WOORI VISA CARD represented the growing switch to a digital economy in the Kingdom.

“We know that cash is still widely used in Cambodia, with more than 90 per cent of people using it every day.

"However, we also know that many people want to move to a digital economy and use cards and other forms of digital payment, which are innovative and more secure.

"In the long term, I really hope we can continue to work together to not just go from launch to launch, but really grow portfolios and, obviously, businesses. Helping Woori Bank customers reach the world is really important, both for the country and for customers,” she said.

The launch of the Visa debit cards demonstrates Woori Bank Cambodia's potential, and its continued development of financial solutions to meet the needs and modern lifestyles of its valued customers.

With a firm commitment to customers, Woori Bank Cambodia is set to roll out Visa credit cards and Visa virtual cards in the near future.
